Accredited members of the Vehicle Testing Association (VTA), agree to adhere to its Code of Ethics, which is the basis of the vehicle testing industry’s standard of best business practice.

  • To offer a high-quality vehicle testing service with integrity.
  • To perform compliant roadworthiness testing in accordance with the National Road Traffic Act and National Standards.
  • To ensure that tests are performed in a consistent manner of high standards and professionalism.
  • To inform the customer of the price of a roadworthiness test and the conditions for a free re-test within 14 days.
  • To furnish an itemised invoice for services rendered.
  • To exercise reasonable care for the customer’s property while under our watch.
  • To maintain a system of fair procedure when dealing with customer complaints.
  • To adhere to the Anti-Corruption Undertaking of the VTA.
  • To uphold the integrity of all the members of the VTA and the RMI.
  • To always be in strict compliance with all related legislation, regulations and industry standards.
  • To employ qualified personnel.
  • To promote good will between all parties concerned.
  • To notify the customer if appointments or completion promises cannot be kept.
